I completed the third installment of the Starlight, Starbright BOM from Sentimental Stitches. This will be a beautiful Red and White Quilt. I was happy that there were no templates for this month.
This month, I received patterns for blocks #5 and #6.
Here is the tricky one. Block #6.
Unfortunately, this was pieced with Y seams for the corner squares and triangles. What a PITA! I have watched videos of how to do this many times. Not as easy as it looks. You will notice several of those intersections with dimples. That is after ripping out and resewing. Good enough. I think the phrase is, just quilt the hell out of it. In the overall look of a whole quilt, I think it will be OK.
Here is the collection of blocks so far.
See? It won't even be noticed when the whole thing is put together.
Thanks for stopping by.

I think it will be just fine. I hate Y-seams, too and usually re work the pattern with triangles.
I love red and white quilts! Great job! Y-seams are a pain but you did a good job.
Wow! I love red and white quilts. This will be amazing.
Your blocks all look great to me!
Very different blocks. Great work with the tricky one.
Great job on the Y-seams! I tend to avoid them - haha - ;))
Oh!! Look at that spectacular snowflake star! That's a tiny size for such an intricate block, and yours looks fabulous. :D Those dimples will disappear during quilting.
