What I'm Working On

I have decided to limit the number of BOM projects I take on this year, but I continue to be tempted by all of the great projects I see online.

I am participating in the 2017 BOM from the Quilt Show. This quilt was designed by Sue Garman, who just recently died. I am determined to get over my hate of paper piecing. This project will either cure me or kill me.

February Assignment
I have received the last installment of Starlight, Starbright. This is the red/white project I have been working on for the past year. Even though I love red and white quilts, I can't say that I have enjoyed this one. Too many templates and paper piecing blocks. No recent pictures of this one.

I am in the Red and Cream Mystery BOM from Fig Tree. This one will finish in time to be completed for Christmas. I just love Joanna's fabrics.

February Assignment
Currently on the Lucey: Serendipity by Judy Madsen. This is a challenge to my quilting skills. It is definitely a stretch.

Sorry for the photo overload, but I am seriously in love with this one. I also loaded one of my minis on the frame so I could take advantage of using the same backing. A real time saver.

Ooo, Karen! First, Sue Garman makes the prettiest medallion designs, doesn't she? I can't wait to be able to get my older-of-hers BOM quilted up. Second, Wow-wow! Look at your quilting ala Green Fairy! I'm supposed to get her second book in the mail today, and will be trying to ramp up my quilting in her style on a couple of things this year. Your work looks terrific. Thanks so much for linking at BOMs Away - I really thought nobody would remember it after being gone so long.
