I am starting a week full of meetings, etc. in preparation for the first day of classes next Monday. For me, today is the beginning of the new school year. I didn't quite get all of my scrap houses done. I have 342 houses done.
My little basket is getting pretty full. I have selected the fabrics for the large center house, but I haven't sewn that yet. I have seen some really nice ones that people have designed themselves to represent a special place in their lives. I am not that talented. I will put some details on mine that will represent the home I live in now.
I actually have 23 small houses to go. I am doing a batch of 24, just in case I mess one up or if I come across one I really don't like as I am assembling the quilt.
Here they are, all organized. I have completed the door walls. I am half done with the window walls. I will keep plugging away at this. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...and I am pretty sure it is not a train coming.
Thanks for stopping by.

I was so excited to see so many houses done! wow! I started with great excitement and have fizzled out... I loved making the houses but time has gotten away from me. You have given me inspiration to get back to them. Happy quilting!
Wow - good for you in sticking to this project. Mine might get done for next year.
So many houses! Sounds like a lot to keep up with but you sound like you're doing great! Great way to use up those scraps!
Keep going. You can do it within the calendar year. There is a lot of time left. I was just under the gun because of my job. I needed to get this done before the school year gets under way.
You get so much done. You just have so many projects going that this is not a high priority. I know you will finish.
Thank you so much for following me. I will search out your blog and follow you too. Are you making the scrap houses too? It is a great project to use up scraps.
I am actually enjoying it. I have satisfied my need to use up scraps. I am looking forward to projects that make BIG blocks. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Wow that's a lot of houses! It'll be fun to see them all together =D
What a lot of houses, that must count as a village or maybe a small town!
Those are so cute and you got quite a bit done. Are you dreading going back to work? Summer vacations don't last as long as they should.

I can't wait to get them put together. Thanks for stopping by and cheering me on.
Thank you for checking out my blog and becoming a follower. I have really enjoyed working on this project...almost done. I am ready for the structure of the work week, but I am always sorry that I can't just sew all day. Stop by again.
LOL, surely hope it's not a train for your sake! :) You have some discipline over there making 350 blocks... they look awesome! Looking forward to see them all in the quilt top! Thanks for sharing, you're a true inspiration!
Thanks for your nice comment. Stop by again.
