I have been really quiet here lately. That is because I have been quilting and finishing my Prism quilt. IT IS FINISHED!
I quilted in the ditch on all seams. Then I echo quilted the diagonals 3.5" from the seams. 80/20 batting, Sulky #733 thread (30 weight), Kona solid navy for the binding. I LOVE using the walking foot. Am I the last quilter in the Western World to get one of these? What a difference. Absolutely no ripples in the binding. Wow. I will never be without one again.
Some of my chalk lines are still a bit visible. I love the way the variegated thread played out with the colors of the quilt. I know the photos are a bit blurry. I only have my phone to use for picture taking. Sad. I know. I guess the next thing I need is a camera for the purpose of this blog...Oh, and to take family pictures too.
Thanks for stopping by.

I think this is super! Straight line quilting was a must with this design and you did fabulous.
Karen, it is looking marvellous.
Karen, you have done a marvellous job.
BEAUTIFUL!! And I like that you have your priorities straight - camera for your blog first and then for family pictures - what a hoot! ;))

Your quilt looks amazing! A Modern Quilt of some type is on my to do list.
WOW your quilt is beautiful.!
What a stunning quilt! It looks really beautiful.
I never thought you could get "showable" pictures with a phone (but I guess that's because I only know my stone-age phone) ... the colours are stunning, I don't think I could have made it (my stash is far too small).
Karen, this looks great! Congrats on getting it finished. I love the way you quilted it, too. What's on the back? Treat yourself to a new camera!!
This is awesome. Here is another project that I have wanted to try but never get at. So happy for you and your finish!
So, so awesome! I love how your prisms stand out so obviously, that is beyond awesome! And yes, the walking foot is a wonderful tool!
Karen, Awesome Job!
